Monday Morning Motivation

I, personally, am moving a mountain. One shovel at a time. I have a vision, a plan and a purpose. I am in Relentless Pursuit. I won’t quit.

In a world where comfort often masquerades as success, the true measure of a man lies in his relentless pursuit of greatness. Joshua 1:9 says God is commanding to be strong and courageous, to rise above fear and doubt. It’s a call to battle, a reminder that we are not meant to cower in the shadows of our ambitions but to charge forward with unwavering resolve.

What’s the mountain in your life? The impossible goal that looms large, taunting you with its enormity? This mountain is not just an obstacle; it is your assignment. You have been assigned this mountain to show others it can be moved! Every step you take, every drop of sweat, and every ounce of grit you muster serves not just to conquer your own challenges, but to inspire others to tackle theirs. To show the power of God. This is the core of true leadership: to blaze a trail through adversity, demonstrating that the impossible can indeed be achieved. To prove that all things are possible when God gives us strength.

Yet, in this relentless pursuit, never forget the power of selfless Love. It is love that fuels motivation, propelling us to push through the pain for the sake of another. This love is not about weakness; it is the strength that binds us to who occupies our heart. It is an unyielding drive to for not only self achievement but for the betterment of our family, our community, and even the world. It is about elevating another as we climb, ensuring that our victories resonate beyond our own lives. Relentless pursuit of who you love. 

Theodore Roosevelt nailed it in "The Man in the Arena." It’s not the critic who counts; it’s not the one who sits on the sidelines and critiques your every effort. It’s you, the one who dares to step into the arena, who risks it all in pursuit of greatness. You will face setbacks, nay-sayers, and moments of doubt that threaten to derail your momentum. But remember, those who matter will recognize your struggle, your effort, and your unyielding determination.

Embrace the suck, and keep climbing. Don’t quit. Understand that the path to success is riddled with challenges designed to test your resolve. Each setback is a lesson, each failure a stepping stone on the journey. It’s a gut check. Never back down when the road gets tough. Instead, dig deeper, push harder, and make your fight greater than the obstacles in your way.

In the end, it’s about more than just reaching the summit. It’s about the legacy you leave behind, one of tenacity, strength, and unwavering faith in. Man up, face the mountain, get in the arena, and remember: the pursuit is relentless, the love is selfless, and the rewards are immeasurable. With God, you are capable of achieving what others deem impossible. Be strong! Be courageous! Go out there, grab a shovel, and show the world that mountains can be moved!

Man of God 2: Masculinity

About three months ago, I wrote Man of God, based on my personal desire and drive to find righteousness and live in accordance with the masculine design God created for men. This morning I was stirred to re-visit the topic of masculinity and share new perspectives  I have found in my pursuit since I wrote about this in January.
