Fog

This morning, a thick fog bared down the Treasure Valley. The air is cold, the sky dark, and everything is wrapped in a heavy gloom. It is one of those mornings where the world seems muted, and the usual vibrancy of life feels distant. Dull, grey and heavy. This dense fog is an eerie similarity of the heaviness that settles in on life.

Just as the fog can settle in, obscuring the view and weighing life down, there are seasons of darkness; moments filled with doubt, fear, and uncertainty. It’s easy to feel trapped in the haze & believe that the gloom has stolen hope and it will never lift. Truth is: the sun is going to rise and burn away the fog. The SON did rise, and He will burn away our fog.

The sun will burn away the mist, and illuminate the world around us. No darkness can withstand the light. The light of Christ shines brightest in the darkest hour. John 8:12 “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” This is a call to action: embrace the light, be warriors in the face of adversity, and to let it guide a through the murky waters of life.

In the heaviness of life, stand firm and remember who you are. Proverbs 28:1The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion.” Go after life with strength and resilience. Placing trust in God, allows you tap into an unshakeable confidence that empowerment to conquer challenges head-on.

Resilience is not just about enduring; it’s about rising up with determination and strength. It’s about recognizing that the fog will break, and when it does, emerging not just stronger but more resolute and ready to attack whatever comes next. The sun dissipates the fog; faith dissolves the heavy burdens. The purpose behind struggles may not always be understood, but trust that they are shaping and refining us into our ultimate design and purpose.

Love conquers all. The love of God is like the sun; warm, illuminating, and life-giving. Romans 8:31No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” Love fuels our resilience, and drives our purpose. It wraps around us like armor, providing the strength and motivation needed to overcome the heaviness and navigate the fog of life.

The fog will break, and reveal the beauty and clarity that is hidden beneath the gloom. Allow God’s light and love to penetrate the darkest moments, discover newfound strength and resilience. The challenges faced are  opportunities for growth and refining by the fire.

If you find yourself standing in a fog this morning cold, dark, and uncertain, remember: the fog will break. Hold fast to faith, trust in God’s timing, look for the light. Embrace the journey, knowing that every moment of struggle is preparation for the breakthrough.

The sun will burn away the fog and the Son will overcome the darkness of life. Stand tall, be strong, and let love break through . The sun will rise, the fog will break, and with it, strength will come to conquer any challenge.
